Rotary Performance Anniversary Event

Posted by Christopher Ott on

Are you a die hard Rotary Engine fan? Does the oil of Import cars run in your veins? If so, you do not want to miss this first of it's kind event. 20 years ago on June 23rd, 2001 Universal Studios released the original The Fast and The Furious movie. Rotary Performance's 33rd anniversary was close to this date as well, so why not combine two celebrations into one - The Rotary Performance Anniversary Event.

First, we decided to do a solid for the import community. We rented the downtown Garland Plaza Theatre on Jun 19th for a double showing of this iconic movie. Being car nerds, we couldn't resist having a forum between the showings to "wax poetic" about what this movie meant, what it means and talk about those technical details we all quote. I (Chris Ott) am a confirmed panelist and will have others to lead a spirited discussion that will be undoubtedly memorable.

Well, we didn't stop there. We've arranged to have an Import only car show in downtown as well. As if that wasn't enough, we've commissioned a beer to be on tap at Intrinsic Smokehouse and Brewery (a local Garland treasure). There will be swag bags for the car show participants, ceremonial tickets for the free movie, and some significant surprises. All of this is conveniently arranged within a two block radius.

PLEASE EMAIL IF YOU WANT TO BE SURE TO SEE THE MOVIE. Due to Covid restrictions, the theater can only hold 200 seats per show. All reasonable ticket requests will be made first come first serve. Two showings (11:30 and 2:30) bring our total to 400 tickets. Tickets will be distributed at a Will Call station at the theater. Please be on time. Remaining tickets will be distributed to anyone on a first come first serve basis.

We have created a map of the event area. This should help:
